STAKEHOLDERS URGE MARCOS TO RETAIN CEBU PORT MANAGER

Calls have been made for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to extend the term of the Cebu Port Authority (CPA) general manager to sustain ongoing port development projects.

Stakeholders from the maritime and business sectors emphasized the manager’s contributions to modernizing the port and boosting economic activities in the region.

They argued that continuity in leadership is essential to completing key infrastructure projects and maintaining operational efficiency.

The CPA plays a vital role in facilitating trade and connectivity in Visayas and Mindanao.

The decision is now under the Office of the President for consideration.
