During the 2025 Grand Morod and Multaqa on April 20, six high-ranking elected officials from Zambales were honored with royal titles by the Royal Sultanate of Zambales.
Governor Hermogenes Ebdane Jr., Representatives Jay Khonghun and Bing Maniquiz, and Mayors Jeff Khonghun and Jon Khonghun were given the titles of Rajahs and Princesses during the ceremony held in Subic Sports Complex.
The event symbolized unity between the Muslim community and the local government, with the officials receiving traditional regalia such as royal kris swords, sashes, and certificates.
Rep. Maniquiz expressed joy in fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a princess.
Sultan ng Pilipinas Bob Datimbang Alhajj emphasized the event’s significance in promoting peace and respect among different religions.
