Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin thanked the Senate for maintaining the tradition of timely budget approval, emphasizing the importance of the summit to showcase the country’s potential.
Meanwhile, the Office of the Vice President’s P903-million budget is set for Senate deliberation, with the OVP highlighting its livelihood programs benefiting over 1,400 individuals and groups.
The Department of Budget and Management noted that some flood control funds remain unutilized as agencies complete bidding processes, and the 2026 flood mitigation budget has been reduced.
The Department of Science and Technology clarified that Project NOAH was not defunded in 2017 but transitioned after achieving key milestones, continuing its role in disaster risk reduction.
