San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora has joined the Mayors for Good Governance (M4GG), pledging support for transparency and honest public service.
He assured the coalition that San Juan maintains a corruption-free government with no ghost projects, emphasizing proper management of funds for the benefit of citizens.
Zamora highlighted the importance of coordination between local governments and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), especially in infrastructure projects like flood control.
He noted that local governments know best which areas need improvements, such as pumping stations and drainage systems, and stressed that cooperation ensures better project monitoring.
The mayor’s statement comes amid nationwide investigations into anomalous flood control projects.
