House Speaker Martin Romualdez praised the Senate for its commitment to due process as it prepares for Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial in June.
He assured that the House prosecution panel is ready to present its case and urged the Senate to proceed without unnecessary delays.
House Secretary General Reginald Velasco and other officials inspected Senate facilities, including the session hall and designated offices for the prosecution team.
Romualdez stressed that meticulous preparation has been made to ensure a fact-based presentation of evidence.
He emphasized that the trial would highlight the strength of the country’s democratic institutions.
