REVILLA, CO-ACCUSED, PLEAD NOT GUILTY IN BULACAN MALVERSATION CASE

The Sandiganbayan Third Division deferred the arraignment of former Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. and co-accused Juanito Mendoza in a malversation case linked to an allegedly anomalous government project in Bulacan, moving it to February 16 due to pending motions.

The other accused—Brice Hernandez, Jaypee Mendoza, Arjay Domasig, Emelita Juat, and Christina Mae Pineda—pleaded not guilty, and all seven remain detained.

Revilla recently had a motion to quash the charge denied, and he has filed a motion for reconsideration.

Last month, the Office of the Ombudsman filed malversation through falsification and graft cases against the seven.

In a related proceeding, the Sandiganbayan Fourth Division recorded not guilty pleas from Revilla, Domasig, and Mendoza in the graft case.
