Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co has denied ownership of the Gulfstream jet that transported former President Rodrigo Duterte to the Netherlands to face charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Co responded to rumors claiming he owned the plane with tail number RP-C5219, stating that the claims were false.
In a statement, Co urged the public and media to verify information with proper authorities to avoid spreading misinformation.
Duterte was arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with alleged crimes against humanity during his war on drugs.
Despite initial resistance, Duterte boarded a chartered flight bound for The Hague later that evening to face the charges.
