Quezon City officials have warned organizers of the Nov. 30 Trillion Peso March rally at the People Power Monument to avoid acts of rebellion or sedition, as violations could lead to dispersal and legal action.
Elmo San Diego, DPOS chief, said a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with rally leaders ensures the protest against government corruption remains peaceful and orderly.
The MOU stipulates that any breach of Batas Pambansa 880 or other unlawful acts will result in immediate revocation of permits and possible prosecution under the Revised Penal Code.
Organizers are allowed to set up their stage near Camp Aguinaldo, with the program running from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and are expecting around 300,000 participants from various sectors.
San Diego expressed hope that the rally would not repeat past violations by other groups that led to disapproved permits.
