Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte announced the opening of the city’s second dialysis center at Rosario Maclang Bautista General Hospital, aimed at providing free and accessible treatment for residents with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
The facility, funded by an ₱8.5-million allocation from 2nd District Rep. Ralph Tulfo, is expected to serve up to 54 patients weekly and help reduce the number of CKD-related deaths in the city.
Patients can avail of free treatment through the PhilHealth Dialysis Package, provided they meet the eligibility requirements including medical documents and a valid PhilHealth ID.
Belmonte emphasized that the new center will reduce long waits at state hospitals and the financial strain of private care.
The first QC dialysis center remains operational at the Quezon City General Hospital.
