Sen. Pia Cayetano has been elected chairperson of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee under the leadership of Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano.
The Blue Ribbon Committee, which investigates alleged corruption and abuse in government, previously held its chairmanship under Sen. Ping Lacson.
Pia Cayetano previously led the panel in 2024, marking her return to the powerful oversight committee.
The leadership change came as the Senate underwent a broader reorganization of committee chairmanships under the new majority.
She also retains her roles in the Committees on Ways and Means and Sustainable Development Goals.
