The Philippines will make its return to the Tour of Langkawi, an eight-stage cycling event in Malaysia, after more than 20 years.
The team includes road cyclists Ronald Oranza, Marcelo Felipe, Jan Paul Morales, Junrey Navarra, Joshua Pascual, and Jude Gabriel Francisco, supported by coaches and team management.
Philippine Olympic Committee head Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino highlighted the significance of the Tour of Langkawi as one of Asia’s most prestigious multi-stage UCI races.
The Philippine team is backed by the Philippine Sports Commission and several UCI continental teams.
The country’s last participation in the Tour of Langkawi was in 2003, with the team previously debuting in 1998, where it achieved notable success among Asian competitors.
