PHILIPPINE STAR KAI SOTTO RESUMES B.LEAGUE PLAY

Kai Sotto is set to return to action for the Koshigaya Alphas in Japan’s B.League after nearly a year of recovery from an ACL injury sustained in early 2025.

The 23-year-old Gilas Pilipinas star announced his comeback on Instagram, marking his fifth year in international competition and third with Koshigaya.

Sotto underwent surgery and continued his rehabilitation in both Japan and the Philippines, eventually rejoining team practices and being named an All-Star, which he skipped.

His return is expected to bolster Koshigaya, currently 20th in the league, and strengthen the Gilas program.

Sotto previously played two seasons with Australia’s Adelaide 36ers and was instrumental in the Philippines’ historic FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament win over Latvia in 2024.
