The Philippine National Police (PNP) has intensified its security measures ahead of the holiday season, aiming to ensure public safety and prevent criminal activities.
Police Chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. ordered the deployment of additional personnel in key areas, including shopping malls and transportation hubs, to deter crime and maintain order.
The PNP also encouraged the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to authorities.
In preparation for the increase in public gatherings and travel, Acorda emphasized the importance of cooperation between the police and the community.
The PNP’s heightened alert status comes as part of the ongoing efforts to curb crime and enhance public safety during the festive season.
