PHILIPPINE CONSULATE IN CALGARY UNVEILS BOOK ON FILIPINO MIGRATION

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Canada, the Philippine Consulate General in Calgary launched the book “Filipinos in Alberta: Migration, Communities, and Challenges” on December 17. 

The event, held at Dr. Jose Rizal Hall, was organized with the assistance of Dr. Glenda Tibe-Bonifacio. 

The book delves into the experiences of Filipino migrants in Alberta, exploring their integration, community-building efforts, and the challenges they face. 

Consul General Zaldy Patron emphasized that the publication aims to enhance understanding of the Filipino diaspora’s contributions to Canadian society. 

The launch featured discussions on the significance of Filipino migration and its impact on strengthening Philippines-Canada relations.
