PH PREPARES FOR ANOTHER RESUPPLY MISSION IN AYUNGIN, READY FOR ANY SITUATION

The Philippine government is getting ready to send more supplies to Ayungin Shoal, despite possible opposition from China.

The National Security Council assures that they are committed to supporting Filipino troops in the area, even after a recent incident where the Chinese Coast Guard used a water cannon and made dangerous maneuvers.

“We will not stop. We will do what is necessary to provide our troops with supplies and we will be prepared for any situation. We will not back down because Ayungin Shoal belongs to us,” says NSC spokesperson Jonathan Malaya.

For security reasons, the NSC will not provide further details about the mission.

They also defend the strong statements made by government officials in defense of the Philippines’ rights over Ayungin Shoal, stating that these statements are consistent with the guidance of the President.

Despite tensions, the Philippine government remains open to diplomatic dialogue with China, as long as it serves the national interest.
