PH POWERLIFTERS DOMINATE ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH 27 GOLDS

The Philippines clinched a triumphant finish at the Asian Junior/Sub-Junior Powerlifting Championships in Dehradun, India, winning a total of 27 gold, 32 silver, and 6 bronze medals. 

Sabina Mae Santos led the charge with eight golds and two new Asian records in the women’s 76kg Sub-Junior division. 

Jessa Mae Vivero Tabuan and Rhadlee Marzan also shone, each securing multiple golds and setting records in their respective weight classes. 

Jason Galauran and Ashley Cruz added to the medal haul with golds and new Asian Junior records in squat events. 

Filipino powerlifters also excelled in the Asian Classic University Cup, with Vince Gutierrez and Ken Austria of Tarlac State University earning multiple medals and setting records.
