President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. warned that individuals involved in corruption in flood control projects will face jail time before Christmas. Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon said nearly 40 people linked to anomalous projects in Bulacan and Oriental Mindoro, including the Discayas, Henry Alcantara, and former Congressman Zaldy Co, are expected to be jailed this November. Alcantara and the Discayas have admitted involvement, while Co has denied the allegations. Marcos urged the public to continue reporting irregularities through sumbongsapangulo.ph, which has received over 20,000 submissions since its launch in August. He emphasized that public reports are crucial for uncovering and investigating anomalous flood control projects.
