Barangay Ginebra’s recent 112-98 victory over Blackwater highlighted the rising threat posed by the Bossing in the PBA Governors’ Cup.
Ginebra coach Tim Cone praised Blackwater, noting their improved performance since the addition of George King, who led the team to a three-game winning streak, including a previous victory over Ginebra.
Cone specifically commended King’s exceptional play, despite his turnovers in their latest encounter.
Beyond King, Blackwater’s resurgence is also credited to contributions from players like Troy Rosario and rookie Sedrick Barefield, along with effective coaching by Jeffrey Cariaso.
Cone acknowledged Cariaso’s coaching prowess and expressed pride in his former protégé, though he admitted he still prefers to win against him.
