Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) chief Persida Rueda-Acosta called on 129 newly hired lawyers and 43 staff members to serve indigent Filipinos with unwavering dedication and integrity.
During their oath-taking and orientation, Rueda-Acosta emphasized that public attorneys must go beyond the usual work hours and be committed to their calling 24/7.
She warned against bad behavior but assured them of strong institutional support as long as they perform their duties well.
At the event, she also announced promotions for 168 public attorneys and 131 staff members, with new lawyers receiving over ₱100,000 in monthly take-home pay plus incentives.
In 2024, PAO served over 12 million clients and posted an 86% favorable case disposition rate.
