Malacañang has urged local government units (LGUs) to prioritize the poorest families in distributing government assistance amid the looming effects of super El Niño, expected to last until March next year.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said aid must reach the most disadvantaged sectors without favoritism.
The government is also preparing measures to address possible hunger concerns during the dry spell.
The Department of Agriculture assured the public that supplies of rice, chicken, and pork remain sufficient.
Meanwhile, the government will continue providing assistance through the Local Government Support Fund, including free rice for needy families.
