Malacañang announced the approval of 31 agriculture-related projects worth P18.7 billion under the Department of Trade and Industry’s Green Lane initiative, aiming to boost local food production and job creation.
These projects are expected to generate over 7,000 new jobs and support President Marcos’ directive to strengthen domestic agriculture and reduce business costs.
Key ventures include a large coconut processing facility employing 4,725 workers and breeder farms providing jobs for more than 1,000 people.
The Green Lane certification fast-tracks permits and licenses to attract investments and streamline processes.
Since its launch in February 2023, the program has certified 222 projects with an estimated P5.75 trillion in investments and 319,000 jobs nationwide.
