Executive Secretary Ralph Recto and Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino agreed to speed up the rollout of the TUPAD program to support Brigada Eskwela preparations and create more jobs for Filipinos.
The initiative aims to mobilize beneficiaries to help repair, maintain, and beautify public schools ahead of the opening of classes.
The Office of the Executive Secretary said the move follows President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to expand employment opportunities nationwide.
Recto also assured full government support for DOLE programs and expressed confidence in Tolentino’s leadership.
The program is expected to provide short-term jobs for disadvantaged and displaced workers.
