PAF TO BOOST PILOT TRAINING WITH ADVANCED BLACK HAWK SYSTEMS

The Armed Forces of the Philippines is acquiring advanced training and maintenance systems from US-based Lockheed Martin for the Philippine Air Force’s fleet of 31 Black Hawk helicopters.

Under a contract with the Department of National Defense, Lockheed Martin will deliver a full-motion flight simulator, a virtual maintenance trainer, and training materials.

The systems aim to improve pilot skills and allow maintenance personnel to practice safely in a virtual environment.

The contract also includes spare parts and support services through August 2028.

While local training capabilities are being established, PAF pilots will continue training at the Sikorsky Training Academy in the United States.
