Sen. Robin Padilla praised Sen. Rodante Marcoleta, saying he has never met anyone as decent as him and noting that Marcoleta explains the law in a way that is easily understood.
Padilla made the remarks during the final day of the Iglesia ni Cristo rally, where members expressed support for Marcoleta amid a plunder case filed by the Office of the Ombudsman.
He also criticized some of his Senate colleagues, using strong language to express frustration with fellow lawmakers in the minority bloc.
Padilla claimed that minority senators are being targeted and said he could also face legal action over a separate obstruction of justice complaint.
The Ombudsman has since filed a case against Marcoleta before the Sandiganbayan, while other minority senators continue to face pending legal cases and suspension.
