The Commission on Elections (Comelec) aims to complete its new P8.2 billion headquarters in Pasay City by 2028, according to Chair George Erwin Garcia.
Construction on the eight-story building has already begun and is expected to be finished within three to four years.
The Department of Budget Management approved the funding in April, with over P8 billion allocated for the project.
Garcia mentioned that additional funds may be requested if needed.
The new headquarters will be built on a three-hectare site at the Pasay City Central Business Park I, Island A.
