P15,000 CASH AID DISTRIBUTED BY MAYOR ISKO TO FIRE VICTIMS IN TONDO

Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso visited evacuees at Gen. Vicente Lim Elementary School in Tondo to personally distribute P15,000 cash aid to affected families and oversee relief efforts.

The Manila Department of Social Welfare, led by Director Jay Dela Fuente, facilitated the aid distribution alongside city officials, while the Department of Social Welfare and Development provided essential goods and medical assistance.

The Bureau of Fire Protection is investigating the fire, with preliminary findings pointing to illegal cable tapping as a possible cause, and two suspects have been arrested for attempting to steal electric cables during the incident.

The city government plans to offer relocation for displaced families, strengthen fire prevention enforcement, and launch community safety education programs.

Vice Mayor Chi Atienza assured continuous support until all families have fully recovered, urging unity and compassion among residents in the aftermath of the tragedy.
