OVER 11 MILLION BALLOTS PRINTED FOR 2025 ELECTIONS

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has printed 11,780,626 ballots for the May 2025 midterm elections, reaching 16.34% of the required 72.1 million ballots.

Comelec Chairman George Garcia reported that daily output has exceeded the target of 1.5 million, reaching 1.8 million ballots per day.

However, verification remains slow, with only 2–3 million ballots checked so far. To speed up the process, Comelec is considering hiring 300 more personnel.

Garcia remains optimistic that printing and verification will be completed by April 14.

He also clarified that Comelec aims to regulate, not stop, election surveys to ensure transparency.
