Former Cebu Mayor Tomas Osmeña revealed that he received a warning not to interfere with then-Police Colonel Royina Garma, who was appointed as Cebu City police chief by President Rodrigo Duterte.
Osmeña expressed his concerns about Garma’s alleged involvement in illegal gambling and her influence over Duterte during an interview with “Storycon.”
He recalled being advised, “Don’t touch the president’s women,” after he raised his objections to Garma’s appointment, indicating her close ties to Duterte.
Despite his efforts to report his concerns, including preparing documentation for Duterte’s aide Bong Go, Osmeña claimed no action was taken.
Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police is investigating claims that Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy gifted women to Duterte and other officials, with allegations of qualified human trafficking being taken seriously.
