Ten people were killed after a landslide buried a house occupied by two families in Malapatan, Sarangani, on Friday, following heavy rains brought by Super Typhoon Inday and the enhanced southwest monsoon.
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said all victims were recovered from the debris after the incident in Sitio Fandaw, Barangay Poblacion.
Authorities attributed the landslide to rain-soaked soil caused by prolonged heavy rainfall.
Flooding was also reported in several parts of Region 12, although no other fatalities were recorded.
