The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has filed a criminal case against former Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo, also known as Guo Hua Ping, in connection with three commercial properties in Sual, Pangasinan.
Guo is charged with falsification of public documents, violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, and the Anti-Trafficking Act, as the NBI established that she falsely claimed to be a Filipino citizen in property transactions.
The properties, which were used for Philippine offshore gaming operations (POGOs), will now undergo forfeiture proceedings.
Guo already faces other charges, including qualified human trafficking, tax evasion, and money laundering over a raid at a Bamban POGO hub in June 2024, where 800 workers were rescued.
Additionally, 38 individuals, including seven PAGCOR officers, have been charged for their involvement in the criminal operations at the POGO hub.
