The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will undergo another reshuffle in the first quarter of 2025 to reduce congestion, with plans to move Cebu Pacific’s domestic flights to Terminal 2 and make Terminal 3 an international hub.
Talks are ongoing with Cebu Pacific to determine if Terminal 2 can handle all its domestic flights. AirAsia Philippines will be required to vacate Terminal 2 once Terminal 4 reopens after undergoing a P200-million renovation.
Additionally, NNIC plans to move smaller turboprop carriers like AirSWIFT and Sunlight Air to Clark International Airport, freeing up more slots for larger aircraft.
These changes are part of NNIC’s efforts to improve NAIA’s runway efficiency and raise passenger capacity to 62 million annually, as outlined in its P170.6-billion concession agreement.
