Meralco PowerGen Corp. (MGen) has signed two power supply agreements with energy retailer EvoEnergi, a D&L Industries affiliate, to provide a mix of renewable and thermal energy.
The contracts will supply enough electricity to power around 62,000 households, supporting EvoEnergi’s efforts to meet its renewable portfolio standards (RPS) obligations.
MGen President Emmanuel Rubio said the partnership aligns with the country’s clean energy transition while strengthening the retail electricity market.
EvoEnergi, an early implementer of the government’s retail aggregation program, sees the deal as a strategic move to offer clients a more sustainable and diversified power supply.
The agreement also expands MGen’s green energy presence, adding to its 4,953 MW portfolio from both traditional and renewable sources.
