President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will not attend the APEC Summit in Peru, citing the need to prioritize domestic concerns such as responding to calamities. Trade Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque will represent the Philippines at the summit, which will focus on trade, investment, and sustainable growth. The event, scheduled for Nov. 10-16, brings together leaders from 21 APEC economies. Marcos also appointed Noel Eugene Eusebio Servigon as the non-resident ambassador to Bulgaria and Moldova.
