Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has directed the acceleration of infrastructure development through the release of P46.22 billion for 1,743 projects nationwide.
The funding, approved by Rolando Toledo of the Department of Budget and Management, was allocated to the Department of Public Works and Highways to support projects across 17 regions.
Key initiatives include road construction, maintenance, bridge rehabilitation, and major works such as the Davao City Bypass Construction Project.
Officials said the program aims to improve connectivity, mobility, and economic opportunities while ensuring the timely implementation of infrastructure projects.
The DBM issued 158 Special Allotment Release Orders to ensure swift fund disbursement for priority development programs.
