Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao is officially coming out of retirement at age 46 to face WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios in a high-stakes bout set for July in Las Vegas.
Arriving in Los Angeles with his family and team, Pacquiao is expected to announce the fight in an upcoming press conference.
This marks his return to professional boxing after a four-year hiatus, though he stayed active with exhibition fights in recent years.
Barrios, 16 years younger and currently ranked WBC champion, presents a formidable challenge with his youth and reach advantage.
Despite the odds, Pacquiao has received WBC’s backing as the No. 5 contender and is reportedly gearing up for training, possibly under longtime coach Freddie Roach.
