Malacañang criticized Vice President Sara Duterte for joking about offering “free advice” on solving the country’s flood problems.
In a response, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro suggested that if the vice president has any solutions from her foreign trips, she should share them with her brother, Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte.
Castro questioned whether the advice would be effective and whether Davao City would benefit from it.
The Palace’s statement seemed to downplay Duterte’s comments, implying that any real solutions should be tested at the local level first.
The back-and-forth highlights tensions between the vice president and the Marcos administration.
