The Makati City government has opened a new Makatizen Card Center at the City Hall Main Building to streamline social and medical service access for residents.
The center provides various services, including online application assistance, virtual card generation, card replacement, inquiries, and card release.
The Makatizen Card, launched in 2017, serves as a unified government ID that consolidates health and social benefits, including integration of Blu Card and PWD Card benefits.
The center aims to simplify processes, especially for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, by offering a one-stop shop for all card-related transactions.
From January to May 2025, nearly 17,000 applications were received and over 9,000 cards released, highlighting the card’s growing use and impact in the city.
