JPH PROVIDES EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO GAZA REFUGEES

The Philippines has donated thousands of gloves, bonnets, and blankets to Palestinian refugees in Gaza to help them cope with the winter season, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) contributed 34 balikbayan boxes of aid, which will be sent to Jordan as part of the Jordanian Air Bridge Campaign.

NDRRMC Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno emphasized the importance of solidarity with affected communities, regardless of politics.

The Jordanian Honorary Consul to the Philippines, Michael Ang, will facilitate the transfer of the donations to Jordan for further distribution to Gaza.

The DFA hopes that more Philippine government agencies will participate in future humanitarian efforts for Palestinian refugees.
