Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC) is set to introduce its premium milk tea brand, Milksha, to the United States through a new licensing agreement.
The company, which acquired a 51 percent stake in Milkshop International for $12.8 million in 2021, plans to launch Milksha in California, New York, and Texas initially.
This move aims to tap into the growing US market for specialty beverages and expand Milksha’s presence beyond its strongholds in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, and the UK.
JFC’s strategic expansion includes leveraging its success with Milksha, which has seen significant growth and profitability since its acquisition.
Additionally, JFC is exploring other beverage concepts, including the recent launch of Jollibrews and the acquisition of the South Korean coffee brand Compose Coffee.
