The House of Representatives has appointed new chairpersons for several committees during its Tuesday plenary session.
San Jose del Monte City Rep. Florida Robes was elected chair of the Committee on Housing and Urban Development, with Nueva Ecija Rep. Rosanna Ria Vergara as vice chair.
Manila Rep. Joel Chua was named chair of the Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability.
Vice-chair positions for this committee were filled by Surigao del Sur Rep. Johnny Pimentel, Antipolo Rep. Romeo Acop, ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Edvic Yap, Sagip party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, Rep. Crispin Diego Remulla, and Rep. Roberto T. Uy, Jr.
The appointments were approved without objection.
