Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo was transferred to the Pasig City jail after a medical check revealed a possible lung infection, postponing her transfer from the PNP Custodial Center.
Guo tested negative for tuberculosis after confirmatory tests and was moved to a regular cell with 43 other inmates.
Her transfer followed a court order linked to human trafficking charges stemming from her alleged involvement in a Philippine offshore gaming operator (Pogo) hub.
The court had paused the transfer, but the decision came too late as Guo was already in Pasig City jail.
Guo is also facing additional charges of graft and corruption.
