Women’s rights group GABRIELA warned of a growing “epidemic” of violence against women and children in the Philippines, citing cases from domestic killings to AI-facilitated sexual exploitation.
The group highlighted recent brutal incidents, including murders, rapes, and sexual assaults across several cities.
GABRIELA blamed systemic failures, corruption, and institutional neglect for allowing such abuses to persist.
The group urged victims to speak out and seek support, emphasizing the need for collective action to demand justice.
It also called on society to unite against misogyny and strengthen protections for women and children nationwide.
