Davao City has welcomed its first all-electric taxi service as Vietnamese company Green GSM launched its fleet, marking the firm’s first expansion outside Metro Manila.
The zero-emission taxis aim to support cleaner air, quieter streets, and reliable transport while aligning with the city’s safety and environmental goals.
Green GSM’s drivers are fully employed with salaries and benefits, a model different from traditional taxi operations, and vehicles used include Vietnam-assembled VinFast Nerio Green electric SUVs.
Commuters can book rides through the company’s app, hotline, designated pick-up points, or street hailing, with an introductory offer giving new users 25 Green Points.
The expansion reflects Green GSM’s national growth plan and commitment to sustainable, transparent, and reliable urban mobility.
