Senator Sherwin Gatchalian has urged the new Senate leadership to disclose the whereabouts of Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa following reports that he may have left the Senate after Wednesday night’s chaos.
Gatchalian called on Senate officials and the Sergeant-at-Arms to clarify whether Dela Rosa, who is under protective custody and faces an International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant, has indeed exited the premises.
Sources claimed Dela Rosa allegedly left the Senate around 2 a.m. using another senator’s vehicle, though this has not been officially confirmed.
The senator also dismissed claims that lawmakers were warned ahead of the incident, saying Senate office hours and routines were normal that day.
The issue comes amid ongoing scrutiny over Dela Rosa’s status in connection with the ICC investigation into the previous administration’s war on drugs.
