After months of hiding, Apollo Quiboloy, leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), was taken into government custody following an intensified manhunt operation.
Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos confirmed Quiboloy’s arrest, though there were conflicting reports on whether he surrendered or was captured.
Quiboloy, facing charges in both the Philippines and the U.S., including labor and sex trafficking, was transported to Manila after his arrest at the KOJC compound in Davao City.
Several of his co-accused were also detained at Camp Crame.
Senator Risa Hontiveros emphasized that justice for Quiboloy’s victims is now within reach.
