Creamline, despite being the most successful franchise in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) with numerous titles, faced an unexpected challenge in the Reinforced Conference this season.
They started the tournament with a surprising loss to PLDT, the first time in recent memory they lost their opening match.
However, this setback catalyzed the team, as Bernadeth Pons led the Cool Smashers to a decisive 3-0 victory over Akari in the finals.
Creamline’s coach Sherwin Meneses lauded the victory as one of the franchise’s sweetest, achieved despite missing key players like Alyssa Valdez, Tots Carlos, and Jema Galanza.
The team’s resilience and strong performances from players like Pons, Michele Gumabao, and Erica Staunton enabled Creamline to secure their ninth title, demonstrating their depth and competitive spirit.
