On Monday, leaders of the country’s largest political parties gathered at the Aguado Residence in Malacañang to finalize the administration coalition’s 12-person Senate lineup and strategize for the 2025 midterm elections.
The meeting included representatives from President Marcos’ Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), Lakas-CMD, NPC, NP, and NUP.
The finalized Senate slate features notable candidates such as former Senate President Tito Sotto, reelectionist Senators Imee Marcos and Pia Cayetano, and returning Senator Manny Pacquiao.
Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez emphasized the coalition’s unity and shared commitment to President Marcos’ vision for national progress.
The alliance, named “Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas,” aims to navigate upcoming challenges and solidify their strategy moving forward.
