The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will oversee the destruction of nearly 200,000 units of recalled NAN OPTIPRO and NANKID OPTIPRO products following a voluntary recall by Nestlé Philippines.
The precautionary recall covers 39 batches, totaling 330,004 units produced at Nestlé’s Cabuyao plant, with production halted on December 25, 2025.
About 60 percent of the affected products, or 199,414 units, are slated for destruction under FDA supervision to ensure compliance with recall regulations.
All segregated recalled products are now under the control of Nestlé, and consumer complaints have been referred to the company for proper handling.
Parents and caregivers are urged to follow official FDA advisories and report concerns through the agency’s eSumbong platform or via email.
