The National Housing Authority (NHA) and the Department of Agriculture (DA) have signed a memorandum of understanding to ensure a steady supply of agricultural products in resettlement sites.
The initiative, part of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) program, aims to strengthen food security and support farmers by connecting them directly with consumers.
NHA General Manager Joeben Tai and DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. formalized the agreement in Quezon City, emphasizing its role in making fresh, locally produced goods more accessible.
Tai highlighted that Kadiwa has been a key component of NHA’s People’s Caravan, helping communities access affordable agricultural products.
The partnership reinforces the government’s commitment to sustainable agriculture and economic growth for farmers and fisherfolk.
