Former President Rodrigo Duterte has been appointed as the administrator of assets belonging to Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and his Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) organization, amid ongoing financial restrictions.
The Court of Appeals has extended a freeze order on Quiboloy’s bank accounts, real estate, and KOJC’s assets until February 6, 2025, following allegations of sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and financial smuggling.
The extended freeze impacts funding for KOJC’s operations, including its church, educational institutions, and commercial projects.
Duterte has yet to comment on his new role, while Quiboloy and his co-accused have been transported to Manila following negotiations for their surrender.
Meanwhile, police officers involved in the operation have been promised medals and a celebratory event, despite legal restrictions on reward money.
